PF Music

The reason why I love pink Floyd (PF) music is simply because it is mostly composed by a person who is virtually illiterate (yet who is a connoisseur of sorts ) in music. He is known for his devotion to details and non-compromising stance on quality.

Roger Waters could have been a normal run of a musician in which case the world would have been deprived of ‘shine on you crazy diamond’ and ‘the walls’. As the band progressed, band mates lost patience in his genius a million times more than he lost patience on Syd Barrett. When things were just not working out in accordance with normal human expectation, he yielded to the murmurs of team mates. Syd was out and David Gilmour was in.

In fact even after the departure of Syd, Waters is said to have worked with him side by side in the new studio he helped set up.

As I was made to believe...

One of the best guitarists in the world, Gilmour must be having role models, drawn inspiration from various artists which might easily have included Waters himself. But to the extent that he conformed to the ways of the banal, he lost patience with the genius who created him. He took over the mantle and Waters had to leave. May be all Watery visions and inspirations were already spent by that time.

An American rockstar might have flaunted a middle finger and with the ‘f’ word spluttering in his mouth. The Englishman didn’t mind. He quietly left. And the band continued to play the already created PF music on the same template Syd and Waters worked so hard upon.

A part from bank rolling the dividends of the old generation’s genius, the new line up didn’t bring up much of a master piece (or is it not known much?) Even fans might have expected or legitimately deserved works equivalent to the Walls for the time.

As time passed the music has turned more and more Gilmourist and seems to lost creativity. But the inherited property is still more than enough to row them to the world with fame, fortune and wealth. Even without so much of added creativity.

However if the trend continues, a day may come when we have to contend with covers of Bryan Adams in PF gigs J

while I remember

a senior executive assistant is deputed to help me and submit my work from next date. As desired by DS whenever I start to brief him about how a question is process he'd interrupt with a question in between, answering which would take away all my time and leave me stranded upon so much papers to dispose.

There is a bunch of three questions on seventh pay commission. i gathered up all relevant papers and gave him ready made to examine in the light of the material/papers.

And I was supposed to train him :-(

On 21.7.2016 I took my wife to hospital and back home, left her in the hands of a neighbour to remind the time of taking medicine. I was off to office, completed as much work as possible. Situation was so bad I had to call my ds at 11.19 pm informing him I wouldn't be able to attend office the next day.

The next day I received a call from ds telling me to come and put my work in order. I called back, couldn't get his attention and sent an sms: 

Sir, it is my request to you that you may please condone me for the absence from work today. It is to attend to my wife who is not well, not taking food and is bed ridden. I came with a heavy heart yesterday (21.7.2016) due to exigencies of the work. I feel leaving one's wife in the hands of neighbours is not a good thing. Please excuse me ! - lian

On 3.8.2016 Sh. Shailendra Priyadardhi EO, the supervisory officer of the group/section was transferred unceremoniously at the heat of questions. About 3.00 pm ds came to me while I was sitting with my assistant, pant and whispered in his ear, ‘find starred question number 298’ in a hush hush tone.

Next day i.e. 4.8.2016 (Thursday) a certain mr. vijay kumar, my junior by about one year as EO rode in the room with a swagger and touched my shoulder asking me about starred question number 298. He happened to be the one ordained to take the place of Shri Shailendra Priyadarshi in the section where I was doing submission work.

the absence

Called 9013504547 at 11:19 am. No response. I was helpless. My wife's temperature shot to 100 degree centigrade. Dr. Manoj Kumar Rawat recommended 2 days rest. After dropping her and handing her over to my relative to remind the time for taking medicine, etc. I rushed to office. I couldn't finish the work right there. The MSS was finalized. I wanted to reach home as early as possible.
U called my DS's number once again. I was too late. It was 11:28 pm. I asked that I won't be able to attend to the office work on 22.7.2016 (Friday).
The next day at 10:05 am I received a call from my DS that I should rush to office, that no one understands my papers. There he cut the line. I called up again at 11:28 and 11:42. But I didn't get a response. I was helpless. My wife needed my presence at the moment because she was feeling down.

GOD WILL LEAD YOU!

I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron.    (Isaiah 45:2)

Dearly beloved, The Lord says, “I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron” (Isaiah 45:2). 

Indeed there are crooked places in your life. You would have been struggling all these years to straighten your crooked places on your own. Despite your best efforts, you realise you have failed miserably. Beloved, never lose heart! As God promised in Isaiah 45:2, He Himself will go before you and will certainly straighten all the crooked things in your life. All you have to do is to receive Jesus in your heart and trust Him to work in your life. 

PREPARE THE WAY FOR THE LORD!

The Scripture exhorts, “Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him. Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth” (Luke 3:4,5). As mentioned in the above Scripture verses, when you prepare a way for the Lord in your heart, then your crooked paths will be straightened.

TRUST GOD TO LEAD THE WAY

There are two paths available for us. One is the straight path and the other is the crooked path. To walk in the straight path, we should plead with God saying, “Lord, You are my way. Even though I tried my best to walk in the straight path, I am unable to do it. Hence, I look up to You who is the way. Please go before me from today onwards and straighten my path. I surrender myself to You. Please come and dwell in my heart and enable me to walk in the straight path.” Then the Lord will certainly strengthen your faith and come and dwell in your heart. He will also enable you to walk in the straight path. He will not forsake you. He will enable you to overcome the challenges of life and bring prosperity into your life. 

Prayer:

Loving Lord Jesus, You are the Way. I surrender my life to You. Come and dwell in my heart. Go before me and make a way for me. Straighten the crooked path. Let me begin to follow You in faith through this journey of life, placing my trust in your faithfulness. Lead me in your ways and give me the grace to inherit your eternal blessings. In Your matchless name I pray, Amen.
