It's a common experience to try to read the words of a film certificate issued by the cbfc but never having to complete reading the same before the film kicks in. Whats in the certificate ?
Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor-starrer film, produced by Anurag Kashyap led Fantom Films got approval from Bombay and Punjab and Haryany High Courts. The Bombay HC had on June 13 allowed screening of the film with one cut against 13 cuts suggested by CBFC.
Meanwhile, a Punjab-based NGO knocked the doors of the Supreme Courtchallenging Bombay HC order and pleading the apex court to stay the release of the film. The Punjab and Haryana HC passed the order on the basis of a report by the amicus curie who viewed the movie. And the apex court refused to interfere.
