The Committee has observed that the Department's promptness in reacting to the reports of the Committee has declined over time. For Example the Committee's 18th Report on DFG (2012-13), was presented on 30 May, 2012. The Department took hardly 2 months to furnish their reply to the recommendations of the report. On the other hand, reply to the 16th Report on DFG(2017-18) of the Department, presented on 20 March, 2017 was furnished on 2 August, 2017 ie 4 months and 13 days later, thus showing staggering inefficiency.
